04 Logistics

Marine Corps OccFld 04 is the field that helps units move, sustain, account for, and recover what the force needs to operate. It is a broad logistics family, which is why the work ranges from maintenance-management tracking to embark planning to specialized air-delivery support.

This hub uses current public Marine terminology even where older recruiter material still shows older field labels. That matters in 04 because some historical job titles have been combined or renamed, while the mission set behind them still drives real Marine demand.

The Marine MOS overview page says Marines in 04 provide general and direct support above the organic capabilities of the MAGTF support element and may support assaults and operations ashore. That broad description is accurate because logistics in the Corps is not one narrow warehouse job.

Some 04 Marines manage maintenance records and readiness data. Others handle logistics movement, embark, or air delivery. The common thread is sustainment: making sure people and equipment are where they need to be, in the condition they need to be, when the mission actually starts.
